The Way To Give ‘Solace’
By Sarah Rath
Our daughter’s name was Christine, but we called her ‘Tootsie’. She was two years old at the time and her big brother, Mark, was three and a half.
One summer afternoon Mark came running, screaming, to tell us that Tootsie was stuck. He pulled us to the far back yard where we found she was, indeed, ‘stuck’.
She had placed her head through the square-wire fence of the pasture and the ‘friendly’ cow was licking her face.
Tootsie’s screams could have reached downtown, and she had good reason. Have you ever felt the coarseness of a cow’s tongue?”
Harder she screamed, harder the cow licked her face, just to solace the poor girl.

I have loved cows since I was born!
Cows are awesome creatures and should be treated just like us, but better! No hamburgers! Milking is ok but thats it!
